The pilot season of Netflix's "Narcos" was released in full almost three months ago in August. The series, which detailed the life of the infamous Columbian drug lord Pablo Escobar, has since received critical success with the first run garnering an impressive 9/10 rating on Metacritic and 76% on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite the spectacular reception to the program, it seems like not everyone is a fan of "Narcos."

Two days ago, Escobar's son, Juan Pablo Escobar, sat down with "O Estado de Sao Paolo" as reported by TeleSur TV to discuss the series depicting the life of his father. During the interview, Juan revealed that the show left out very important details including the U.S. aiding Escobar in transporting cocaine into the country.

"First, they should include chapters showing how the [U.S.] Drug Enforcment Agency (DEA) charged my dad 'taxes' so he could send cocaine to the U.S. territory via Miami International Airport," detailed Escobar.

Regardless of Escobar's family claiming foul, "Narcos" season two was ordered mere weeks following the release of season 1. While the premiere date remains unknown, some details about its return have already made its way online.

According to iDigitalTimes, the second season of the biopic would likely center on Pablo during the time he was on the lam up to the moment he died presumably in 1993.

New York Post on the other hand recently had the honor of interviewing retired DEA agent, Steve Murphy, the officer who was instrumental in taking down Escobar. During the conversation, he revealed that he has been tapped to consult on the story that would be told come season two. Murphy further revealed that the producers are still very much shocked with the success of "Narcos."

"The producers knew it was going to be a hit. But it's surpassed everyone's expectations. That's all they're talking about." explained Murphy.
