'NBA 2K16' trailer reveals extent of realism and developer's attention to detail

They say the devil is in the details and "2K Sports" can boast just that after the release of its new "NBA 2K16" trailer. Viewers can clearly see the time and effort the company expended on the details, which even showed the way Steph Curry chews his mouth guard.

The new "NBA 2K16" trailer begins with the players gearing for tip off.  Gamers will immediately notice James Harden, with a beard that's spot on with how he wears it now. You can see Curry bouncing around, trying to get rid of some nervous energy while continuously chewing on his mouth guard. LeBron James also does the same thing on the bench.

Once the tip off commences, Curry is featured dribbling and showing his moves. The other players do crossover dribbles and some serious spin moves to rush past the defenders. The scene then cuts to one of Harden sinking a deep shot.

Variety will be the spice of "NBA 2K16." If the trailer is to be believed, there's an array of dunk styles that the gamer can do, like the monster dunks performed by NBA players such as Blake Griffin.

More fun is added with the different celebration choices that will be showcased in "NBA 2K16." There are solo celebrations and group celebrations. Each celebration is different and will depend on the player and the team. Examples of those big play celebrations are Harden flexing those hard-earned muscles while the Chicago Bulls' Derrick Rose strutting around.

The "NBA 2K16" trailer also proves that the game is more than just dazzling gamers with the incredible graphics. They're aiming for realism in the player's actions too. For instance, players off-balanced after jump shots will be seen stumbling or falling while a loose ball will result in players diving for it, just like in a real, live game.

Gamers immediately caught the significance of the way the video ended, with a young player being shown about to make an announcement on what college he's off to. The trailer ends with the player saying that he has decided to attend "the great University of..." before it fades to black.
