A new patch was released just recently for "NBA 2K17," though players are still unsure of what it brings to the game.

Full notes for Patch 1.07 have not been shared yet by the developers, and at this point, the things currently known about it came courtesy of tweets from gameplay director Mike Wang.

Over on Twitter, Wang shared that Patch 1.07 is specifically meant to address shooting after over-dribbling. The new patch is expected to make it significantly more difficult to hit shots directly after pounding the ball a little too much.

Notably, Wang also assured fans that this adjustment will not adversely affect players known as shot creators inside "NBA 2K17." Wang even noted that "shot creators should actually like this patch."

Wang also shared that the over-dribbling adjustment is the only gameplay change included in Patch 1.07, which is quite unusual given that it is a hefty downloadable.

Fans over on the r/NBA2k Subreddit noted that Patch 1.07 takes up more than 7GB of space on the PlayStation 4, so it would seem that it should have other features beyond just that gameplay tweak. Some Redditors are hoping that this new downloadable will apply visual tweaks, though again, developers have yet to confirm what else may be included in Patch 1.07, so it's hard to tell if those are coming.

It is worth noting that many of the fans over on Reddit aren't exactly thrilled that another sizable patch has been released for "NBA 2K17." The latest game patch has to be applied before players can utilize the game's online components, so another big update means players may have to settle for offline play while they wait for the download to be completed.

Patch 1.07 is out now for the PS4 and it is expected to be made available soon for the Xbox One, according to a recent report from Operation Sports.

More news about "NBA 2K17" should be made available soon.
