On Sunday, selected NBC stations across the U.S. will broadcast images of thousands of faithful in New York worshiping at an Orthodox Christian Resurrection Service and Divine Liturgy of Pascha.

The Interfaith Broadcasting Commission has published a list of confirmed air dates for NBC stations in a mix of large and small market cities. Notable exceptions as of April 5 include New York City and Los Angeles.

The service will be recorded at St. Nicholas Church in Flushing, N.Y. and will be broadcast mostly on the morning of January 8 in the pre-dawn hours. It will also be shown on April 15, when Pascha is celebrated in most Orthodox Christian churches.

The broadcast will feature Archbishop Demetrios of America as he stands before thousands of faithful gathered inside and outside the church.

He will proclaim "Christ is Risen!" at midnight. The Divine Liturgy of the Resurrection Witness follows.

The celebration is produced for the Interfaith Broadcasting Commission in cooperation with the National Council of Churches and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese.
