'NCIS: New Orleans' season 3 episode 8 spoilers: Pride uses music to connect with a traumatized witness

(Facebook/NCISNewOrleans)The squad takes on another difficult case in the next episode of NCIS: New Orleans.

Pride (Scott Bakula) will attempt to reach out to a young witness of a gruesome murder in the upcoming episode of "NCIS: New Orleans."

In the episode titled "Music to My Ears," the synopsis (as per Spoiler TV) reveals that the NCIS will be tapped to investigate the death of a Navy petty officer. The sole witness to her murder is her nine-year-old nephew who is traumatized by what happened. Pride and his squad will have temporary custody of the child since he has no one. His remaining relative - his mother - is a soldier currently on active duty somewhere.

As per the promo photo, Pride's fatherly instincts will come in full force after seeing the boy. Lost and bewildered, the child will seek solace from an old friend - his music. He is shown playing a trumpet. His aunt - when she was still alive - was a member of the United States Navy Band.

Pride will soon have an idea of how to connect with the child. In one of the photos, he is shown playing the piano. If words will not be enough to form ties with the boy, perhaps their shared love for music will.

Meanwhile, another episode to look forward to this December is titled "Overdrive." As per CarterMatt, the NCIS will investigate the death of a Marine corporal. The dead man was also an amateur race car driver. He died in a crash, but clues point out that it was not an accident. Someone ruthlessly planned his death. The team will comb through the evidence to look for potential killers. The corporal must have had an enemy who wants him out of the way and the NCIS must find him for justice to be served. The episode is slated to air on Dec. 13.

"NCIS: New Orleans" season 3 episode 8 will air Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
