Fans are undoubtedly happy that a new episode of "NCIS" season 13 is on the horizon. From the looks of things, the upcoming episode is an intense one, a timely reminder to why this show is about to reach its 300^th episode.

Episode 14 saw the team trying to solve a murder case where the victim and the suspects are inside a decompression chamber while they are stuck outside. But as expected, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his team made sure that justice was served. It was also the show's Valentine's episode and viewers saw the different kinds of loving relationships that thrive in this team.

Another challenge is set in front of the "NCIS" team and this time around, they will be teaming up with Agent Fornell (Joe Spano) of the FBI.

According to a synopsis for episode 15, "React," the daughter of Secretary of the Navy Sarah Porter (Leslie Hope) has been kidnapped. Gibbs, DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and the rest of the team will work with Fornell and the FBI to bring her home. Meanwhile, McGee's (Sean Murray) long-time friend, NCIS Special Agent Valerie Page (Christina Chang) will be conducting advance tactics training with the team.

Porter has proven to be quite effective in handling "NCIS," despite her lack of military experience. However, she has so far been portrayed as running the department like a business so it will be interesting to see her in this more personal light. The introduction of McGee's childhood friend also adds to the excitement as very little is known is about the agent's past.

Season 13 is turning out to be a memorable and ground breaking one. Aside from the changes the characters have undergone and Weatherly's impending departure, "NCIS" is also set to air its 300^th episode on March 15.

A milestone like that deserves a big celebration, which is what CBS, the cast and crew of "NCIS" and its fans did recently. ET Online reported on the celebration and the stars' thoughts on this achievement. When asked about the secret to the show's success, Harmon gave credit to the stories and the people.

"I've said often, there's nothing wrong with loving your job, and there's a lot to love here," Harmon explained. "We've worked hard to get it to this place and [now] it's about taking an appreciation of that."

Episode 15 of "NCIS" season 13 is set to air on Feb. 16 on CBS.
