Netflix Movies January 2015: New movies on Netflix starting in New Year

The New Year means a revamped catalog for streaming giant, Netflix, and here are some titles that will be available in the streaming service starting January 2015.

Netflix has become one the go-to source of entertainment for those who enjoy watching movies and television series, and its subscribers will be pleased to find out that the list of titles will be improved come 2015. For movies, several box-office hits will be available, including Disney's "101 Dalmatians," Michael Bay's "Bad Boys II," and Jim Carrey's famous comedy, "Bruce Almighty."

The popular Tina Fey-penned "Mean Girls" will also be making a return to Netflix, as well as Reese Witherspoon's comedy, "Election." One of this year's favourite comedies, the food-driven "Chef," will make a debut in the streaming channel.

Fans of the classic series, "Friends," will be more than happy to know that the much-loved and acclaimed comedy series will be coming to Netflix on January 1. Those who subscribe in Netflix will be able to watch all the episodes of all seasons whenever and wherever they please. The arrival of Friends could possibly jack up the number of subscribers once the show is available for streaming. Other TV series that are coming to Netflix are the third season of "Dallas" (TNT), the fifth season of "White Collar" (USA Network), and the fourth season of "Being Human" (Syfy).

The second season of the Netflix original, "The Fall," which will star Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson, will also premiere on 2015, particularly in January 16.

Cult film, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas will also make a Netflix premiere, as well as "Jeepers Creepers 2." Tom Hanks' Cast Away will also be available for viewing once the New Year begins. "Shall We Dance," "Fort Bliss," "Batman & Robin," the 1953 original version of "The War of The Worlds," will all be available on Netflix.
