Motorola, LG and Asus smartwatches may come during the IFA

With the Apple Watch capturing the attention of smartwatch users, devices running Android Wear are set to make a comeback at the upcoming IFA 2015 tradeshow in Berlin.

And now, reports suggest that new offerings from Motorola, LG, Huawei and several others will be revealed at the trade show.

Android Authority, rounding up the rumors, stated that several companies had consolidated their plans and are planning to take on the Apple Watch by announcing their new offerings at the IFA in Berlin. Among the wearable devices on offer are the second generation Moto 360 and the follow up to the LG Watch Urbane LTE.

As for the other devices which are rumored to be arriving next month, they include the Huawei Watch which was announced on March 1 this year but has yet to be released, and possibly Asus' ZenWatch 2, which was announced during this year's Computex tradeshow.

The main competitor of all these devices is going to be the Apple Watch, which according to CNET, has outsold all other Android Wear and Tizen devices combined. The success of the smartwatch from Apple has resulted in Apple's market share in the smartwatch sector to surge up to 76 percent in just three months since the device was released back in April.

As for Samsung, its market share in the sector has dropped to around 7.5 percent but it could get a boost when it releases its new smartwatch, the Gear S2, which is expected to come with a rotating bezel. However, because this new device from Samsung is widely expected to run the Tizen operating system, it is possible that it could result in weak sales.

The LG Watch Urbane and its LTE enabled offering are both stylish and the new offering from the company is expected to mimic them. Another watch that will surely steal the attention of tech enthusiasts is the successor to the Moto 360, which was one of the leading smartwatches last year.
