Last month, the OnePlus 2 met everyone's expectations when it launched with high-end specs and a budget-friendly price. Here is how the device compares against the Nexus 6, which was released last year.

Design

The OnePlus 2 continues to sport some of the design details seen on its predecessor. It has a similar default plastic back panel with a sandstone covering that is textured and curved. However, its frame is now crafted from aluminum alloy and magnesium and its back panel can be swapped out with other panels made of bamboo, rosewood, apricot and Kevlar. In addition, it has a fingerprint sensor, which is not present on its competitor.

As for the Nexus 6, it has a plastic build with a back panel made of the same material. However, it has a metal frame which gives it a premium look. Its back panel comes with a smooth finish and a Motorola emblem. It comes in two colors blue and white.

Display

The Nexus 6's display has an edge as it comes with an AMOLED screen measuring 5.96 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 493 pixels per inch. As for the OnePlus 2, it only has a LTPS LCD capacitive screen that measures 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 401 pixels per inch.

Specs

In this category, the OnePlus 2 blows away its competitor as it is equipped with impressive hardware making it much faster than its competitor. It has the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, along with an octa core CPU comprised of four Cortex-A53 cores and four Cortex-A57 cores and an Adreno 430 GPU. In the Nexus 6 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, a Krait 450 CPU with four cores clocked at2.7 GHz and an Adreno 420 GPU.

Memory

There are two versions of the OnePlus 2; the 16 GB model comes with 3 GB of RAM while its 64 GB model has 4 GB of RAM. The Nexus 6, on the other hand has 3 GB of RAM onboard. Both devices do not have memory slots, so users will have to make do with the internal storage.

Camera

The cameras on these devices are similar. Each has a 13 megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization.

Price

The Nexus 6 is priced at $250 with a two-year contract while the OnePlus 2 only costs $329 in its unlocked form.
