Producer Masachika Kawata revealed that the studio does not have immediate plans to produce a game version for the Switch console. The game, however, will be made available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, as well as Microsoft Windows operating PCs.

"I think it's a very unique piece of hardware," producer Masachika Kawata told Express Online. "I'm looking forward to the possibilities of the system itself, but we have no plans at the moment regarding 'Resident Evil' on Switch."

Although the game will not be added anytime soon, in the near future, Capcom might decide to create a Switch version for the game, especially if the console lives up to the hype.

Nevertheless, Nintendo announced on its official Twitter page that so far there are 80 titles in active development for the Switch. As for the launch titles, Nintendo will release the console along with the titles: "1-2 Switch," "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," "Just Dance 2017," "Skylanders: Imaginators," and "Super Bomberman R."

Nintendo Switch will be launched on March 3. Gamers will be able to purchase the hybrid console for $299.99. For that price, players will get the console and a regular Joy-Con controller, which is not chargeable. To get the premium version, players have to purchase the chargeable controller for $29.99.

As previously reported, the premium Joy-Con controller comes with a USB Type-C connector so gamers can power the device as well as recharge their controllers. For the standard version, gamers can only recharge their Joy-Con batteries by sliding it onto the Switch.

Nintendo claims that the battery lasts for 20 hours, and that it can be charged within 3 and a half hours.

"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is expected to launch on today, Jan. 24.
