'No Man's Sky' gameplay and release date rumors: co-creator says it's 'exciting' that gamers don't know exactly what will happen

(No Man's Sky Official Website)No Man's Sky features 18 quintillion planets and each planet has it's own landscapes and inhabitants.

"No Man's Sky" is one of the most anticipated upcoming games of 2015.

The game was first introduced at the 2013 VGX gaming conference and by 2014, it was voted by critics as the "Best Original Game" and "Best Independent Game" at E3 Conference. By 2015, trailers had been released to introduce people to "No Man's Sky's" gameplay.

According to Hello Games, "No Man's Sky" is "a game about exploration and survival in an infinite procedurally generated galaxy."

Players in the game are astronauts and they start their journey in an undiscovered planet. Players are also provided a spaceship for exploration.

There is no story line to follow in the game. Rather, players can go on epic journeys to discover places that no one else has seen before. While exploring planets, players can also collect materials to trade or use to upgrade their ship and equipment.

Hello Games shared that while their universe is not exactly infinite, there are 18 quintillion life-size planets and it will take players 585 billion years to see them all. The possibilities for this game will be endless.

Players have the freedom to choose the course of their journey. They can opt to become traders, rescue traders or even attack other planets. They can also choose to play and interact with others or opt for a nomadic gameplay.

According to co-creator, Sean Murray, "We don't know whether people will congregate or disperse. I know that people don't like to be told that we don't know what will happen in our game, but that's what is exciting for us."

The highly anticipated game is expected to debut simultaneously on the PC and Sony's PlayStation 4. There are also rumors that the game will be released on the Xbox One console.

Hello Games' creator of "No Man's Sky," has yet to announce a release date for the game. According to Murray, "Ultimately, we will pick the date when we have a finished game." The game is expected to arrive during the second half of 2015.
