(Facebook/NoMansSky)"No Man's Sky" will be released on Aug. 9, 2016.

"No Man's Sky" is a highly anticipated game that has suffered multiple delays in release. However, a final date for the game's launch has already been decided and it was revealed to be Aug. 9, 2016.

The Hello Games title has been the subject of much controversy, due to its continuous delays. The game was first presented in 2013, and, three years later, fans are still empty-handed. With its release date being pushed back multiple times, fans began to wonder if they will ever get to play the awaited game. Hopefully, the August release date will stick this time around.

Sean Murray, managing director of Hello Games, release a statement on the official website of "No Man's Sky" and shared an update on the game.

"Every day, the game is getting better and better," he revealed. "I've said it before, but 'No Man's Sky' is the hardest thing I've ever worked on. It's even bigger than you can imagine." Murray then continued to elaborate on the game's uniqueness in that it's the first of its kind, "a type of game that hasn't been attempted before."

Murray's words certainly offer up a huge teaser for fans of the upcoming game. Expectations are high, and only time will tell if Hello Games will be able to deliver or disappoint. Reports have even claimed that Murray has gone so far as to receive death threats due to the game's frequent delays in launch. Considering the game's epically large universe and massive fan following, "No Man's Sky" may just live up to expectations and break records.

The game has been marketed as a universe with 18 quintillion planets to explore, but it has not been made clear what the gameplay will have to offer. One thing is for sure: Progress over at Hello Games is going considerably fine. And as Murray puts it, "The universe will be yours very soon."
