NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti release date, news: High-end graphics card demand may be affecting launch

(NVIDIA official website)The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 (seen in the picture) is said to pale in front of the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, but, until it releases, one can only speculate.

With the current trend in technology and gaming demanding exceptional speed and efficiency, it is no surprise that companies always come up with new breakthroughs to always outperform themselves. However, for tech giant NVIDIA, it looks like the race is at a standstill.

During the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), participants were anticipating the reveal of NVIDIA's latest GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card, which more or less has high-end PC gamers in mind. But when it was a no-show at the said event, everyone was left with a bitter taste in their tongue, disappointed and distraught.

Everyone was left wondering why NVIDIA chose to stay mum about the latest graphics card, and why it didn't launch it during the CES 2017. The event was arguably one of the best platforms to announce the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, and people are quick to speculate why it didn't grab the opportunity.

According to Fox Business, NVIDIA may be observing the demands for graphics cards. With the demand seemingly slowing, it may be a bad idea to introduce the new graphics card just yet, as it is expected to cannibalize the revenue from its predecessor, the GTX 1080. If NVIDIA launches the GTX 1080 Ti with poor reception, it can be viewed as a failed attempt to introduce it.

With this in mind, it may take some time before NVIDIA officially releases the high-powered graphics card. Everything will depend on the market's temperature when it comes to the demand of such products. It apparently won't take long, as per hunches circulating.

According to reports, NVIDIA may be targeting this year's PAX East 2017 event in Boston, Massachusetts, which will be sometime in March. If it holds ground, then this could probably be the time that avid gamers can finally confirm the power of the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

These are speculations, but for now people will have to sit and wait.
