"Once Upon A Time" finally returned to the small screen after a hiatus that left viewers in eager anticipation. Episode 12 revealed many things and answered a few questions, but what lies ahead is far more intriguing.

Episode 13 starts with a flashback in which Ursula, Cruella and Maleficent have their first encounter. The threesome are tricked into gathering at one place in which Rumple reveals himself. The Big Bad then declares that villains should get their happy endings to the three Queens of Darkness, reports the International Business Times.

Things get back to normal but only for some time. Viewers will see Henry as a student, Mary Margaret aka Snow White teaching, Regina going back to being a mayor and Sheriff Emma Swan resuming her duties. Meanwhile, in New York, Ursula, Cruella and the Dark One unite with only one Queen missing.

An Oxford professor provides Belle a ritual to free fairies from the Sorcerer's Hat. They do it and soon a dark winged creature enters Storybrooke. The creature wants an evil heart, one that has potential for great darkness. Towards the end, the creature chooses Emma Swan's heart uncovering the fact that the Savior's has the potential to become evil. Gold masqueraded as an Oxford professor and now the Dark One is back in town.

During a media preview of the first two episodes, executive producers Adam Horowitz explained that this season would explore the concept of a villain and hero, how the two are inherently similar, and the reasons behind a person becoming good or bad. Yahoo news noted the producer saying, "Emma has spent a long time being told she's a savior and now she is going to have to face that it's not as black and white as that. All of our characters are going to be wrestling with this idea of good and evil, not just in terms of what they are facing as an external threat but internally within themselves."

In a report by TVGuide, Horowitz also teased about Cruella's power. She can persuade animals to do her bidding but what about magical creatures? The site reports that controlling magical creatures is one step away from controlling magical beings that are half animal. If Cruella has that ability, she can control the other two Queens, one who can become a dragon and the other who is half octopus.

Find out the fate of Emma as "Unforgiven" airs on March 8 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
