'One Punch Man' season 2 news: Premiere date to be announced soon and other speculations

(Adult Swim)Saitama will be back to continue his adventures in the upcoming anime adaptation of "One Punch Man" season 2.

Staff and cast of the "One Punch Man" anime series confirmed the coming of season 2, along with the arrival of a smartphone game app in September 2017. The premiere date of the season is expected to be announced soon with speculations stating Saitama and Garou will engage in a battle in the first episode.

The announcement happened during the "One Punch Man Fall Festival" where the voice actors and the band playing the theme song were also present. Many are speculating that the upcoming season will follow the "Hero Hunter" story arc wherein a battle between the main protagonist, Saitama, and Garou will happen right away. The match between the two is exciting for those who follow the manga series since both are normal human beings without magical super powers.

The secret behind Saitama's super punch is expected to be revealed in season 2 as well. To recall, Saitama's journey to becoming a superhero happened when he saved a child from a monster while strolling in the park. He eventually loved the idea of being able to help and trained to become a better fighter.

He eventually got to fight against more monsters with the use of his powerful punch, thus the title of the series. It was also revealed, however, that he got bored of being able to defeat his enemies easily and he has since been looking for bigger challenges. New and more powerful enemies are in store for the hero in the upcoming season.

There are also speculations that he will fall in love in the coming season, but it will also bring complications to his life. It is said that two sisters will fall in love with him and that would make the choice hard since hurting one would also hurt the other.

"One Punch Man" season 2 was already in production when it was announced and it may not be long before the premiere date will be announced.
