Following speculations that the second season of "One Punch Man" will not arrive until around 2018, MadHouse Productions has finally confirmed that the highly anticipated installment is definitely happening.

In a Twitter post, the studio announced that they are working on "One Punch Man" season two though there was no other update given regarding production progress and when the new episodes will start airing. There was also no hints on the plot. The announcement was also made on the anime's official website.

On the other hand, fans are ecstatic to find out what happens next to Saitama and the other heroes who will be faced with new struggles and potentially new villains.

Japan Today notes that "One Punch Man" season two was also confirmed during the Autumn Festival convention wherein live performances were provided for fans who attended the big event.

The outlet further suggests that new episodes may arrive sometime early 2017 since the autumn television run has just started in Japan and will last for about thirteen weeks, meaning any new shows may not start rolling out until the beginning of next year.

Meanwhile, it is widely speculated that Saitama's backstory will finally be told - who he was before he gained superpowers, what his family background is, and how his powers came to be.

As for the enemies who the unlikely hero will be facing in "One Punch Man" season two, it is said that he will once again square off with Lord Boros, whom he defeated previously. However, there are some who believe that it won't just be Lord Boros who will block Saitama's way. Amai Mask and Garou are rumored to be his next two enemies as well.

MadHouse has not addressed any of the rumors but fans should expect more of Saitama's adventures as he tries to find himself in the pool of great heroes.

Stay tuned for more updates on the premiere of "One Punch Man" season two.
