OnePlus 2 official specs and price details: Benchmark result leaked ahead of official release

Fans of the upcoming smartphone, OnePlus 2, can finally rejoice because the official specifications of the handset have been finally revealed.

Unfortunately for the manufacturer, hours before the official unveiling, there was a leak that revealed the official specs of the phone in advance.

As reported by Tech Radar, the result of the GFXBench benchmarking tool for the phone has been leaked online even though the official launch of the phone is only a few hours away.

As for the official specs, according to a report by PC Advisor, OnePlus, the company behind the amazing smartphone has finally revealed the details of the handset during their VR Product launch this July 27, 2015, at 7 p.m. PT.

Dubbed as the "2016 flagship killer," the Android phone, OnePlus 2, is no doubt one of the most powerful handsets in the market today.

On a brief specs rundown by Android Authority, it was revealed that the OnePlus 2 is going to be powered by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. It has a 64-bit CPU with a processing speed of 1.8GHz and eight cores, or commonly referred to as octa-core.

The smartphone will sport a 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a 401ppi. The screen will also come with Gorilla Glass, as well as in-cell touch technology, as mentioned by Android Authority.

Moreover, as revealed by the same source, the OnePlus 2 will have two variants. One is the 64GB phone with a 4GB RAM while the other one is a 16GB version that packs in a 3GB RAM.

Also, both models will come with a dual SIM feature and dual standby configuration. The two variants will run on the current Android 5.1 operating system, or also known as Android Lollipop. Of course, added to that is the new OxygenOS, which also runs atop of the Android OS.

As for the pricing of OnePlus 2, PC Advisor reports that, for the 16GB variant, the cost will be $329 while the 64GB will cost $389. Unfortunately, not all people will be able to own this phone as only those who received an invitation or those who signed up to get one can purchase the handset.
