OnePlus is another brand that has hit it big in the mobile phone segment, although its global availability is something that has made it accessible only to a select few.

Regardless, the OnePlus 3 is expected to be coming out this year and OnePlus founder Carl Pei confirmed in an interview with CNET en Español that the next flagship should be out by the end of the second quarter for 2016.

Right now, the only thing that Pei revealed is that the OnePlus 3 will be sporting an entirely new design if compared to the OnePlus 2. This means that there could be new features on the mend, which can hopefully draw in more interest from people who continue to patronize leading Android brands Samsung and LG.

While the OnePlus One made a big splash when it hit the market, the same cannot be said of the OnePlus 2. There were some who looked forward to it, but comparing the reception between the two handsets, it is obvious that the first offering did much better.

Taking that into consideration, such could place more pressure on the next flagship which will hopefully debut with much better design and specs. However, according to Pei, it will indeed be a device worth checking out.

Aside from the OnePlus 2, the company also unveiled the OnePlus X last year; but the real concern for many is availability.

The dreaded invite-only system was scratched, although it remains to be seen if the case holds true for the upcoming OnePlus 3. This approach had been around with the OnePlus One but was taken out last year.

Pricing remains a mystery as well, although it is not expected to be pricey, considering the China company has never really put a hefty tag on its phones. There is a chance it may not cost more than $350.

Information on specs is scarce, but rumors suggest that the OnePlus 3 will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor along with an undetermined screen display that will likely offer 1080p resolution.
