While the OnePlus One release date has yet to be set after the smartphone's unveiling last April, and it's scrapped June launch, the follow up flagship OnePlus Two is rumored to be in the works.

OnePlus Two is currently codenamed "Lettuce," while the OnePlus One is called "Bacon."

OnePlus One is the first flagship phone by OnePlus, a smartphone maker from China. It has sparked great interest in the tech world with its great specs and affordable price.

The device will is running a customized version of the community-developed CyanogenMod operating system, which is an alternative distribution of Google's Android OS.

OnePlus One was dubbed by its manufacturer OnePlus as the #NeverSettle phone. Its manufacturer's site said it can be bought via an invitation system.

However, no one except for a select few have been able to get a hold of the phone as of today's date. Currently, the only real way to aquire the device is from one of the current owners, who are few, most of whom won it via a contest or received it directly from OnePlus' PR department.

With OnePlus Two rumored to be in the works, more anticipation is building among prospective adopters, especially after tipster @evleaks mentioned it in a tweet.

The same tipster also hinted about an Android tablet which may be named "OnePlus Tab" coming out of the China-based smartphone maker. However, the tipster later retracted that rumor, claiming the screenshot he showed was photoshopped.

Furthermore, OnePlus told Android Police that the rumors of them manufacturing a tablet were untrue, as they want to focus only on OnePlus One this year.

With regards to OnePlus Two, Cyanogen, Inc. told Android Police there is no so called "Lettuce" device, and wonders where @evleaks got the hint.

In fact, Lettuce has no specific details yet and even less a release date. In fact, even its name is uncertain. Hence, there is very little reason to be excited about a OnePlus Two at this point.

Nevertheless, if OnePlus Two is codenamed "Lettuce," people will not be surprised if OnePlus' third device will be dubbed "Tomato."
