OnePlus 2 vs LG V10: OnePlus 2 takes the lead

As the OnePlus 2 released earlier this year, it became evident that the device would be one of the very best when it came to budget priced smartphones. However, LG is hoping that its newest phablet will be able to take on budget priced devices like the OnePlus 2 and this is how they compare.

Design

When it comes to design, the OnePlus has a metal frame created from a magnesium and aluminum alloy and a fingerprint scanner included in its home button. Its back panel is made from plastic with a sandstone covering which gives it a good appearance, but there are alternate panels made from bamboo, black apricot, rosewood and Kevlar. As for the LG V10 it has a number of unique features like two screens and two front facing cameras, but when it comes to build it has a metal frame and textured silicone on its back. The second screen is positioned as a strip over the first and always remains on to display favorite apps and contacts, a music player and a scheduler. The fingerprint scanner on the device is positioned at its back and it comes in five colors white, black, two shades of blue and beige.

Display

Here the smaller display on the LG V20 measures 2.1 inches with a resolution of 160 x 1040 pixels, while the larger display measures 5.7 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and density of 515 pixels per inch. Coming to the OnePlus 2 it has an LCD screen measuring 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and density of 401 pixels per inch.

Specs

In this category the OnePlus 2 is ahead as it has the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset coupled with an octa-core CPU and an Adreno 430 GPU. As for the LG V10 it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset coupled with a hexa-core CPU and an Adreno 418 GPU.

Memory

There is no memory slot on the OnePlus 2 but the version on the LG V10 has one that supports up to 2 TB. As for RAM, the device from LG has 4 GB while its competitor either has 3 GB or 4 GB.

Price

The LG V10 costs $672 without a contract, while the OnePlus 2 has costs $389 without a contract.
