Oppo Find 9 leak gives away key specifications, like Snapdragon 810 SoC and advanced 4G LTE support

Chinese electronics vendor Oppo is preparing to release Oppo Find 9, the next iteration of its flagship smartphone Oppo Find 7 launched last year in March that was very well-received in the market, particularly for its rear camera, which uses a clever photography trick to take 50-megapixel shots. The specifications of the Oppo Find 9 have now been leaked, indicating that the successor to the Oppo Find 7 will offer an even better camera.

Oppo is known for its unique designs and cutting-edge features, with its devices including the 4.8 mm-thick Oppo R5 or swiveling-camera Oppo N3. Last month, the company had celebrated its 10 year anniversary by announcing two new devices, the Oppo R7, a 5-inch smartphone, and the R7 Plus, a 6-inch phablet.

Oppo has been rumored to be working on a successor to the Find 7 and new reports based on a screenshot from Chinese carrier Guangzhou Mobile reveals that the company will be skipping the number Find 8 and jump directly to Find 9. The Oppo Find 9 has been listed alongside other flagship smartphones, such as the Galaxy Note 4 and HTC One M9, indicating that Oppo's upcoming smartphone will also be a flagship device.

Based on the limited specifications listed, the Oppo Find 9 will feature a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, similar to the Find 7, which was one of the first smartphones to offer QHD display panel. Oppo's upcoming smartphone is also likely to the deliver the impressive pixel density of 538 ppi found in the Find 7. The Oppo Find 9 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM, and run on Android Lollipop OS. According to the information listed on Guangzhou Mobile, the Oppo Find 9 will support 4G LTE Cat.9 speeds. Oppo has not confirmed the specifications of the Find 9 or announced a release date so far.
