'Orange is the New Black' season 4: Where is John Bennett?

(Netflix/ComingSoon)

"Orange is the New Black" has yet to pin a release date for its fourth season and fans are already eager to learn more details about what to expect. Below is a round-up of the things we know so far about the upcoming season.

There will definitely be more inmates coming to "Orange is the New Black" season four. Litchfield Penitentiary saw a bunch of new prisoners arriving in the last episode of season three. These prisoners will be more likely to be of Dominican descent as Lionsgate recently announced a casting call for Dominican-type females for the comedy drama show.

Speaking of cast, some recurring cast members have been upped to series regulars. Fans will see more of Carrie "Big Boo" Black and Marisol "Flaca" Gonzales as the actresses portraying them — Lea DeLaria and Jackie Cruz — have already signed on to be series regulars.

Some series regulars are also returning, despite what season three may have had viewers believe. Alex Vause (Laura Prepon) seem to have died but an Instagram post from Prepon had fans doubting their assumption that she has been killed. Whether she miraculously survived or is only shooting flashback scenes has yet to be known.

Relationships are also going to bloom a lot in the next season of this hit Netflix series. Both Kate Mulgrew and Michael Harney have spoken about wanting to further the "understanding" between their characters, inmate Red and counselor Sam Healy.

Harney told IBTimes, "I really enjoy the scenes I had with Red (Kate Mulgrew) in season three. So I'm hoping we have a chance to work together again. Artistically that's very fulfilling for both of us, I believe, so there's that. But I approach it like it's a blank canvas."

But what fans really want to know at this point, next to the release date, of course, is whether John Bennett (Matt McGorry) is still alive. Unfortunately, there is still no definite answer. McGory said in a Yahoo! interview, "Like me, I guess you'll just have to wait and see."

"Orange is the New Black" season four is expected to hit Netflix by June 2016, based on previous season releases.
