"Orange Is the New Black" season 5 is said to arrive in mid-2017, but, this early, there are already rumors claiming that the upcoming season of the Netflix original series will feature more deaths following the demise of Poussey (Samira Wiley) in its previous season.

According to reports, it is likely that the next character to die in "Orange Is the New Black" season 5 is Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) as the character has made a lot of enemies in the prison in the past season. With this, it is suspected that the inmates may connive with one another and plan to kill her. 

In an interview with Pop Sugar, Schilling was asked to comment on the possibility of her character getting killed in the upcoming season 5 of "Orange Is the New Black." As expected, the actress refused to answer the question point-blank. However, she revealed that the upcoming season will be a tough year for her character. 

While Piper's death in "Orange Is the New Black" season 5 is nothing but a mere speculation at this point in time, it is said that it may not be a far cry at all. After all, the Netflix series has successfully surprised its avid followers with its twists and turns that result in the unexpected death of "Orange Is the New Black" characters, whether they are loved or hated by the fans.

To recall, many fans were surprised when Wiley's Poussey character was killed in the previous season. However, it was later on revealed that it was not only the fans who were shocked with the death of the character as even the other cast members of the series were surprised as well because, among the cast, it was only Wiley who knew that her character would be killed off.
