Orlando Magic trade rumors 2016: Nikola Vučević deal finally happening?

The Orlando Magic were silent in the off-season, but there was one rumor about them which made noise. It was the possibility of trading center Nikola Vučević. And now, a potential deal might occur and it involves the Phoenix Suns.

Vučević was dragged to the rumor mill after the Magic acquired Serge Ibaka and Bismack Biyombo. Both are defensive players and front line guys, which for some was seen as a reason why the 26-year-old might no longer be needed by the squad.

The Magic are yet to express interest in trading Vučević, but if they do, the Suns may be willing.

An option for the Magic is to send Vučević and Elfrid Payton to Phoenix. In return, they will welcome Alex Len and Eric Bledsoe. Basically, it is a switch of centers and point guards.

Len is only 23 years old and is expected to be a star for the Suns in the future. His potential and the promise he has could be reasons why the Magic would agree to this, even if Vučević is a much better scorer and rebounder as of the moment.

The arrival of Len in Orlando may also prevent any possible issues that may arise at the no. 5 position.

Perhaps the biggest gain for the Magic in this is Bledsoe. Indeed, Payton is a young up-and-comer but the former is a veteran who can explode on the offensive end.

If the Magic wants to win now, Bledsoe is a much better choice at the point guard position. The 26-year-old is experienced in carrying a franchise on his shoulders and he can do this in Orlando.

For now, no changes are happening for both the Magic and Suns. But soon, moves are likely to be accomplished, especially with these franchises missing the playoffs in the past few seasons.
