Canadian television program, "Orphan Black," has been making waves in the U.S. since its premiere two years ago in 2013. The show has won several awards both in Canada and in the United States, unfortunately, the Primetime Emmy Award has previously remained elusive.

Thankfully, Tatiana Maslany, the actress who played all ten initial clones in the series, has since been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series award in the 2015 Emmys. Many of the show's fans are exceedingly happy for the Canadian actress and most of them feel like the award is a long time coming.

Gina Rodriguez, star of "Jane the Virgin," recently revealed that she is a fan of the sci-fi show and she is ecstatic for Maslany's nomination, even calling her an inspiration.

"Tatiana [Maslany] from Orphan Black, that girl is so phenomenally talented. And it took a few seasons for her to get nominated. She is my hope, she is my inspiration, she is my empowerment. I'm so proud of her for getting nominated this year," Rodriguez said.

Because of the series' success, it is unsurprising that "Orphan Black" has been renewed for a fourth season. Recently, Maslany herself sat down with Deadline to discuss not only her experiences during the third season but also to hint on what is in store for the fourth.

During the interview, the 29-year-old talked about her transition from lead star to lead star/producer in the production of "Orphan Black." She gushed about how welcoming the creators of the show were to everyone's ideas and that she is always involved in the introduction of a new clone.

"If a new clone is introduced, I'm always involved. I don't sit in the writers room, but the conversations are always happening on set. There's a fluid transfer of ideas and inspirations, things we're excited about and things that are about to happen," said the actress.

Without giving too many details about season four, Maslany explained that the return of the series would be packed with mystery, just like in season one. She said, "The only thing I know for sure is that it will feel like the pace of Season 1. It will have that sort of mystery."

"Orphan Black" season four is scheduled to debut next year.
