With the "Outlander" season 1 finale entitled "To Ransom a Man's Soul" scheduled to air on May 30,  spoilers for the last episode have been surfacing online. The hype is persistent and is also being fueled by industry insiders who have seen the show.

"It is not all doom and gloom and the final moments really set up with season two will be about. A storyline decidedly different than what you've seen so far -- and will see -- in Wentworth prison, with Black Jack Randall (shudder). Book fans, you also will see that a notable location has moved, and the timing is not what it is from the books -- all done to make the storyline work better for a TV show/season finale. In the meantime, though, prepare to cry buckets. And prepare to have to look away. At points it is ...Too much." said Kristin Dos Santos, an E! correspondent who was lucky enough to have seen the previews.

"Outlander", which is a show based on Diana Gabaldon's time travel books of the same name, premiered on August 9, 2014 and has received stellar reviews and high ratings. The show was viewed by an impressive number of people on the Starz network, so much so that it was given the green signal for a second season just days after its initial launch on August 15, 2014.

Season 2 was ordered to run at least 13 episodes and would be based on "Dragonfly in Amber" which is also the second installment of Gabaldon's series.

Fans of the show have been witnessing reports online about the specifics of the upcoming season. There have been several confirmations and hints from the cast and crew of "Outlander", out of which the most significant one came directly from the show's executive producer, Ron Moore.

In an interview with Zap2it, Moore has confirmed the setting in which season 2 would be shot and said, "We'll be building interiors in Scotland. We're going to scout in the south of England, we're going to scout in Eastern Europe; we're looking for places that can be the streets of Paris."

Moore also explained several casting issues that they are currently tackling for the succeeding season, with particular focus on Brianna, Claire's daughter, who will play a very instrumental role in the next series.

"You don't want her to look so radically different that there's no way, but it has to be within the bounds. You're looking for a good actress because she's so important going forward," he explained.

"Outlander" season 2 is scheduled to release this fall, though no specific date has been announced until now.
