Phoenix Suns trade rumors 2016: Trading Brandon Knight or Eric Bledsoe inevitable?

As of the moment, the Phoenix Suns are holding on to Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight, two efficient point guards who have the ability to start. Because of this, it is expected that one of them will be dealt when the 2016-17 National Basketball Association (NBA) season is already underway.

Having two capable starters is both a luxury and burden for Suns head coach Earl Watson because he needs to give one the reserve role, which could lead to issues in the long run.

This is the reason why Phoenix is dragged to the trade rumor mill. Some believe that soon, either Knight or Bledsoe will have to go to prevent problems and for roster balance.

It is uncertain if the Suns will want to accomplish a trade to dispose one of their playmakers. Watson has already expressed how important Knight is to the team. On the other hand, he also showed that they value Bledsoe by declaring him their starter.

Recently, most of the rumors involving the Suns mention Knight as the trade piece. The 24-year-old was linked to teams in the league needing a point guard. It might be because he is seen as a valuable asset following his impressive perfromance last season. He recorded a career-high in scoring with 19.6 points per game. During that stretch, the starting role was granted to him with Bledsoe down and he took advantage of it.

Bledsoe also had his fair share of involvement in trade talks. Similar with Knight, the 26-year-old was connected to squads seeking for a playmaker during the off-season.

Until the new season progress, it remains undetermined what the Suns plan to do with Bledsoe and Knight. If troubles arise, a trade deal can be expected to happen. But if they work harmoniously, then both will stay and continue their professional careers with the organization.
