'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' rumors: Disney almost axed Johnny Depp due to unprofessionalism on the set

(Facebook/Pirates of the Caribbean)Rumors claim that Johnny Depp was a major headache at the set of "Pirates of the Caribbean 5."

There is no denying that the year 2016 has been one of the most-controversial years for Johnny Depp. After his highly publicized marriage problems, it has been revealed recently that Disney even considered axing Depp's Capt. Jack Sparrow character from the upcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Man Tells No Tales" because of the problems he caused to the production.

Rumors have it that Disney even considered killing off Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow character in the movie as he was the primary cause of delay of the filming. However, because of the importance of the character in the movie, the production was left with no choice but to put up with the embattled actor's unprofessionalism.

It is also rumored that because Disney failed to act on Depp's unprofessional behavior, Depp's co-stars, including Orlando Bloom, were disappointed with Disney.

Reportedly, Disney couldn't just drop Depp from "Pirates of the Caribbean 5," as first, he was responsible for making the franchise a hit, and second, he is such an important character in the story, and it would be impossible for the production to proceed without his presence.

It can be recalled that Depp has gotten himself entangled in one controversy after another before after his troubled marriage with actress Amber Heard. Back in April, Depp and Heard were forced to issue an apology to the Australian government as part of their settlement issue for falsifying quarantine documents after bringing their two Terriers to the country without following the proper procedure.

It was also revealed that the actor even came to a point of cutting a finger after getting into an argument with Heard over her alleged relationship with Billy Bob Thornton.

Last month, the now estranged couple also made headlines after they reached a divorce settlement, wherein Depp paid Heard a whopping amount of US$7 million, which the latter used as a charity donation.

However, despite Depp's reported unprofessionalism on the set of "Pirates of the Caribbean 5," the production was able to wrap things up, and there's no more stopping the movie from arriving in theaters on May 26, 2017.
