GameStop CEO Paul Raines fuels fans' desire for new consoles like the PlayStation Neo in his interview with Fox Business regarding the video game business industry.

Rumors continue to circulate online as tech companies gear up for the fast-approaching Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) on June 14–16. One of these undying and hopeful rumors is that the PlayStation Neo would be revealed at the said expo, to which Raines, intentional or not, may have given a clue about.

"We'd love to see some virtual reality and some new consoles come in. We're going to hear about that at E3. But I'd say for investors, GameStop's very healthy and a very resilient company," Raines mentions in his Fox Business interview.

Now, fans are ecstatic that the CEO might actually be talking about the highly anticipated PlayStation 4 (PS4) hardware, which was originally nicknamed PS4.5 or PS4K, but was later dubbed "Neo." Fans are hopeful that E3 will reveal the exact time frame of the console's release, especially since rumors are divided, with some saying that it will be made available before the PlayStation VR in fall, while others are saying that it won't be released until October.

Of course, what the GameStop CEO could be referring to are the rumored Xbox One consoles that are also said to be announced at E3 — a "slim" Xbox that might or might not be available at the end of this year, and a more powerful version, dubbed "Scorpio," which is rumored to be available in 2017.

Or, he could also be talking about the virtual reality industry, and how a lot of tech companies are also geared toward, as he mentions, this "seven to 14 billion dollar business opportunity."

While the CEO's statements are making PlayStation fans hopeful for the Neo, whether it truly exists or not, can only be finalized during the expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
