Sony Computer Entertainment and Samsung Electronics are bringing PlayStation Now to Samsung Smart TVs next year. The two tech giants announced that the game streaming service will arrive in selected smart televisions within the first half of 2015.

"PlayStation Now provides a new dimension to Samsung Smart TVs that consumers have been looking for – blockbuster PS3 games accessed through an intuitive interface that makes it easy to discover and play great gaming experiences," said Youngchan Kim, Vice President at Samsung Electronics, in the official press release.

"We are excited to collaborate with PlayStation to deliver even more entertainment value to our Smart TV platform."

At present, PS Now service is available in various PlayStation platforms including PlayStation 4 (the best-selling console of 2014), PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Sony TV and PlayStation TV. It is a library that contains more than 200 titles.

Once launched, gamers will be able to enjoy all functionalities of the service such as online and social gaming, earning in-game trophies and saving game progress in the cloud.

"Since we first introduced PlayStation Now at CES 2014, our vision has been to open the world of PlayStation to the masses by offering the service on the devices they use every day," said Masayasu Ito, Executive Vice President of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.

Fans will get the first taste of the Sony and Samsung partnership in the forthcoming CES 2015 happening in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Samsung booth will feature PS Now on Samsung Smart TVs.

Samsung Smart TV delivers the groundbreaking Multi-Link technology where users can actually take advantage of multiple (up to 4) screen viewing experience. Another innovative feature is the enhanced voice control, a Siri-like component. A simple voice command enables the "smart" TV to browse the web, launch application and even turn your television on and off.
