Sony has revealed via a blog cast at their official web site that 'Woah Dave' will be a secret PlayStation Plus game this coming April. The indie platformer is not expected to be the main freebie for the month but is intended to be more as a surprise offering for PlayStation Plus subscribers. It will be available to both North America and Europe PlayStation Plus members.

The indie 2D platformer 'Woah Dave' received a slew of positive reviews when it was released on the PS Vita device back in January 2015. The old school arcade style game puts players in the shoes of hero Dave Lonuts as he slays aliens, collects loose change, all while attempting to score the highest points possible.

As summarized in 'Woah Dave's' Meta Critic page, reviewers described the games as a frantic fast paced game that is also challenging enough for hardcore gamers to enjoy. The game's simple mechanics make the game easy to learn, but there is still plenty of depth to uncover in the gameplay as players progress in their never-ending quest to defeat the aliens.

A PlayStation 4 version of 'Woah Dave' is currently in development, so the game's inclusion in the PlayStation Plus freebies is most likely a way to introduce the game to a wider audience before it is released on the PS4.

In addition to 'Woah Dave', the action adventure game 'Dishonored' will also be included in the free games this April. 'Dishonored' was originally listed as a free game in the March list but its inclusion was deemed a mistake. As with 'Woah Dave', it will be available to both North America and Europe PlayStation Plus members.

The full list of free games available to PlayStation Plus members is expected to be released next week at Sony's official web site. The freebies are then to go live on April 2, Tuesday everywhere in North America and April 3, Thursday all over Europe.
