PS Plus free games June 2016 updates: 'NBA 2K16,' 'Gone Home' to be offered for free next month?

(PlayStation)six new games to be free in Playstation Plus this month

The month of May will be over in a couple of days and what this means to PlayStation owners is that there will be a new lineup of free games from the company's PS Plus program.

Sony has yet to make an official announcement about the lineup and it's expected that this will be done by this week. However, leaks and rumors about the list of free games for June have already popped up.

According to the most recent leaks, "NBA 2K16" and "Gone Home" will be part of the free games next month. The game titles were spotted as an email coding in Sony's weekly newsletter. Fans were quick enough to point out that Sony somehow accidentally revealed the free games.

Then again, this could be an entirely different thing not related to the free games for PS Plus subscribers. At the same time, it's also possible that the abovementioned games will be offered free. While it could be convincing for some considering that the titles appeared in an official newsletter, the news should still be taken with a pinch of salt.

Fans will just need to wait for several days more before finding out what's in store for June. A Twitter user known as @TheFrannifer, who is the PlayStation service community manager, confirmed on Twitter that the announcement should be given this week, although a specific date was not mentioned.

It's expected that there will be six free game titles to be released for all PlayStation platforms.

Meanwhile, speculations about the PS Plus June 2016 free games are also widespread in the gaming community. According to This Gen Gaming, "The Evil Within," "Resident Evil HD Remaster," "Watch Dogs," Everybody's Gone to the Rapture," and "Infamous Second Son" could be included in the lineup.

Whatever Sony has in store for next month, PS Plus subscribers can only hope that the gaming company will continue the trend of releasing an impressive lineup.
