PlayStation Plus July lineup could be posted anytime soon; AAA games might be included

(PlayStation Network)The July lineup of free games under PlayStation Plus is rumored to include several AAA games for the PlayStation 4.

PlayStation Plus subscribers are expecting that any day from now, the latest release of free games will be dished out by the program will be announced. Sony made it a habit of unveiling the new roster of games to its subscribers during the latter parts of the month.

Gamers are now making guesses on what will be the six new titles that will be deemed free of charge under the said program. In addition, it was earlier reported that one of the games, "Kill Strain," will be revealed as one of the free titles, but it is said that the game will also be available to players who are not part of the program. Members will get to enjoy it, though, a week earlier.

One of the games that is rumored to be included in this month's offering is Ubisoft's "Assassin's Creed: Black Flag," which is the sixth installment in the "Assassin's Creed" franchise. Another game will be Tango Gameworks' "The Evil Within," which was directed by the "Resident Evil" creator Shinji Mikami. Furthermore, the mentioned "Assassin's Creed" and "The Evil Within" are considered to be AAA games.

AAA games are titles that were produced by well-known game studios that took hundreds of hours to develop and became best-sellers from their release.

Meanwhile, The Chinese Room and Santa Monica Studio's "Everybody's Gone to The Rapture" is also rumored to be included on this month's free list. It's a single-player game where players have to investigate the strange disappearance of all the inhabitants of a village that's set in the 1980s.

For PlayStation 3 users, it's more likely that Capcom's "Resident Evil 6" and "Resistance 3" from Insomniac Games will be added for this month.

PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita players, on the other hand, will be getting titles made by independent studios.

The games mentioned are yet to be confirmed in the days to come and fans will just have to check updates on the PlayStation Network.
