Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire News: Hoopa arrives at Pokemon 3DS games by July

Over the past two years, there have been various rumors surrounding the introduction of a new mythical Pokemon. As early as 2013, hackers and decoders had found clues in the code of "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y" supporting these rumors. It was only in January this year when the speculations were finally confirmed after Coro Coro magazine announced the arrival of Hoopa.

Hoopa, according to its bulbapedia page, is a dual type Psychic/Ghost Mythical Pokemon. While it is not known to evolve into a new Pokemon, Hoopa has an alternate form that can be seen by using the Prison Bottle on it.

Light purple all over with distinct pink markings, the new Pokemon is deceivingly cute and harmless, at least when it is in its confined form. In this version, Hoopa is the only Pokemon with a dual weakness to Dark and Ghost.

Hoopa Unbound, on the other hand, is a grittier version of the mythical creature. It is noticeably darker and bigger as compared to its confined form and is considered to be the tallest psychic-type Pokemon in this state.

The confirmation of Hoopa's existence is exciting enough, especially for avid followers of the franchise. However, recent reports about the new mythical Pokemon have made fans even more happy. Next month, Hoopa will finally become available for distribution in four Pokemon games: "Pokémon X", "Pokemon Y", "Pokémon Omega Ruby", and "Alpha Sapphire". Hoopa will have several signature fighting moves in the 3DS games, which will also include Hyperspace Hole, Nasty Plot and Astonish.

The in-game character distribution seems to be in line with the premiere of the upcoming Pokemon movie also scheduled to be released in July. "Pokemon The Movie XY: Archdjinni of the Rings: Hoopa" will feature the newly-introduced Hoopa, as it is typical for Pokemon films to feature legendary Pokemons on the loose in their storylines.

"Pokemon The Movie XY: Archdjinni of the Rings: Hoopa" premieres in Japan on July 18. Hoopa will be available for Nintendo 3DS players from July 18 to September 30 this year.
