'Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire' news: July sees launch of several big events

July is turning out to be a very busy month for die-hard "Pokemon Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire" fans as two big Pokemon events are set to happen.

The first high-profile event is the Circle of Legend Battle Competition. Pokemon players who plan on joining can register from July 16 to July 23, competition is from July 24 to July 26. The competition is open to all "Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire" players and each participant will get 1,000 PokeMiles each. However, players are only allowed to use certain Legendary Pokemons as their ticket to the fights.

The only Pokemons allowed to be used are Arceus, Articuno, Azelf, Celebi, Cresselia, Cobalion, Darkrai, Deoxys, Dialga, Entei, Genesect, Giratina, Groudon, Heatran, Jirachi, Keldeo, Kyogre, Kyurem, Landorus, Latias, Latios, Lugia Moltres, Manaphy, Meloetta, Mesprit, Mew, Mewtwo, Palkia, Phione, Raikou, Rayquaza, Regice, Regigigas, Regirock, Registeel, Reshiram, Shaymin, Suicune, Terrakion, Thundurus, Tornadus, Uxie, Victini, Virizion, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zapdos, Zekrom and Zygarde.

The next event that Pokemon enthusiasts can look forward to is the official Hoopa Distribution Event for "Pokémon Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire," as well as for "Pokemon X and Y." The highly-anticipated affair will take place in Japan from July 18 to September 30 and is expected to arrive in North America by fall.

It has been reported that the rare Pokemon, Hoopa, is slated to be distributed before the premiere of the "Pokémon X & Y" movie "The Archdjinni of the Rings" in Japan. The hard to catch Hoopa will appear bearing a Focus Sash. It will also have powerful attacks like the Astonish, Hyperspace Hole, Nasty Plot and Psychic.

But for those who want to level up and go pro, Pokemon ORAS players can join the North American National Championships which are scheduled to be held from July 3 to July 5. Those who cannot join this year can watch the event online.
