Just days into the anticipated Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire release date, reviewers and gaming pundits who received advanced copies of the game for Nintendo 3DS have published reviews to guide consumers.

"Yes, its the same game we've seen before, but that's not a bad thing when the core concept is so engaging and rewarding," wrote Peter Brown of Gamespot.

"It's a seemingly simple and cute journey, but with the underlying potential for strategy in combat, and a massive number of adorable Pokemon to catch, you can't help getting hooked by Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire," he added.

Brown gave Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire a rating of 8 out of the perfect score of 10.

Polygon's Griffin McElroy extended the same grade to the game, but felt that progression from the old versions has been limited. He went on to thank the legion of monsters and increasingly "complex type-matching strategies" that made this Pokemon game engaging enough.

Game Freak and Nintendo have done a great work in reintroducing Hoenn and bringing Wonder Trade, according to IGN. However, the "dull navigation habitats" are some of the game's areas for improvement.

The game was inspired by Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire, which launched at the same time in 2003 for Gameboy Advance.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire for Nintendo 3DS hit store shelves with a release date on Nov. 21 across the US, and will be released on Nov. 28 in Europe.
