Pokemon fans have reason to get excited again after the release of Diancie for Pokemon X and Y back in 2014, as another one of the three mysterious Pokemon that hackers found in X and Y's data, Hoopa, is announced by Nintendo to be officially released this year in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Hoopa will be released to players via an event, and there is still no confirmed date for it as of this writing, but many speculate that the release event will take place shortly after the new movie, Pokemon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages, is shown in Japan on July 18, much like how Diancie's release event took place after the movie when the said Pokemon was released.

Hoopa itself won't be the only thing to look forward to in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, as the release event will open the way to players also getting its alternate form, Hoopa Unbound, legitimately. The form was discovered by hackers back when the demo was released, and it was discovered that a special event occurs when a player enters a Pokemon Mart with a Hoopa in the party. Talking to the new NPC that appears and hearing out his story will get the player a key item called a Prison Bottle, which can then be used on Hoopa to change its form for a limited time.

In a minor update, Game Freak has now revealed, in an interview by Nintendo Dream magazine, why Flygon does not have a Mega Evolution when important characters, in this case, Aarune, usually have Pokemon that can Mega Evolve. Ken Sugimori has said that Flygon could have had a Mega Evolution since Pokemon X and Y, but since the design for Mega Flygon has not been completed, the notion of a Mega Evolution has been dropped. The translated version of the interview containing this detail can be found here.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are remakes of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire that were released last November 21 (for Japan, the Americas, and Oceania)and 28 (Europe) 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS.
