A short preview of the new "Pokemon Sun and Moon" tie-in anime was just released, offering the first look at Ash's transformation.

Keeping up with tradition, a new "Pokemon" anime is set to be released along with the upcoming "Pokemon Sun and Moon" games. The 29-second teaser below showcases Ash's new look.

According to Polygon, the art style is noticeably different than the traditional "Pokemon" style. Although Ash still looks like the Ash who fans have come to know, the character looks slimmer and younger.

Everything else followed. Pikachu, Ash's main Pokemon, and the others have received makeovers as well.

Another thing that can be noticed is that the young trainer is actually in school. Predecessors featured him always traveling with two other trainers.

The anime will follow Ash's adventures in school, Anime News Network reported. Instead of going from region to region, his goal this time around is to actually graduate.

Along with Ash's trusty partner Pikachu, there is a new Pokemon generation that will be introduced. The Alola region, which is based loosely on Hawaii, is home to the seventh generation.

Meanwhile, a discussion thread has started in Reddit regarding the trailer and the feedback has not been mostly positive.

Many are not keen on the idea that Ash looks younger again when he seemed more mature in "Pokemon X & Y."

"His face didn't look as sharp," the user crylic899 commented.

A poll in Twitter started as well, asking users if they liked the new "anipoke" style. Out of the 1,878 votes, only 27 percent said they loved it while 30 percent said they hated it. The majority chose "hmmmmmmmm," which consists of 43 percent of the votes.

Many commented that Nintendo might be intending on a reset, which is also evident in the latest previews of the games.

The "Pokemon Sun and Moon" anime premieres in Japan in November, while the games are set to be released on Nov. 18.
