A new "Pokémon" movie is officially announced to hit theaters later this year. Titled "Pokémon the Movie XY and Z: Volcanion and the Tricky Magearna," it will feature the man-made new Pokémon named Magearna and the mythical Pokémon Volcanion.

The metallic-body Magearna is the first ever pokémon that is artificially created by humans 500 years ago. According to the movie synopsis, Magearna will be kept captive by a minister who is trying to conquer a mechanical kingdom using Magearna's powers.

Volcanion, despite hating humans, will then be forced to team up with Ash Ketchum in order to save Magearna from the hands of this ruthless, corrupt minister. The synopsis further hinted that Volcanion and Ash will be inseparable, thanks to a magical force that will bind them together.

Meanwhile, a new trailer focuses on Volcanion, a fire and water type of Pokémon that was first discovered in the "Pokémon Omega Ruby," "Pokémon Alpha Sapphire," "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" for Nintendo 3DS family systems. His power is said to be so powerful, it can blow up a mountain and change the shape of lands.

Volcanion is one of the three mysterious, legendary pokémons, alongside Hoopa and Diancie. In the past years, two separate movies had dealt with the other two legends — Diancie with its mega evolution and Hoopa with its 'Unbound' form. Now that Volcanion is on the spotlight, fans are expecting to see what other secret powers it has.

"Pokémon the Movie XY and Z: Volcanion and the Tricky Magearna" will again see the journey of the franchise's familiar characters. Ash, Pikachu, Serena, Jessie, James, Meowth , Bonnie and Clement are all set to return for the storyline.

At this point, though, it is still unclear if the movie is part of the animé series' canon or not. Additionally, the movie is said to hit the big screen in July 2016 in Japan. Western release may come right after.
