Emily's (Shay Mitchell) ex-girlfriend Paige (Lindsey Shaw) will return to Rosewood in the upcoming season of "Pretty Little Liars."

Paige's return will shake things up with Emily, considering that they did not part amicably in the fifth installment. Paige left Emily just as the latter was facing the villain "A," who turned up to be Charlotte (Vanessa Ray). She left for California to live with her family and escape the horrors that were happening in town. Emily, who stuck with her for a long time, was devastated with her decision.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paige will reportedly appear in a few episodes in the first half of the season. She will first be seen in episode 8. 

Now that Paige is back, how will Emily deal with the resurgence of her emotions? Technically, Emily is single coming into season 7, discounting her attraction to Alison (Sasha Pieterse). Before the last season ended, they were in the midst of evaluating their feelings for each other. Alison was Emily's first love and it would be hard for her to forget their relationship. The blonde's condition also forced Emily to stay with her. Alison has been suffering from her hallucinations and was brought to Radley to get treatment. Will Emily have to choose between the two girls in the end?

Meanwhile, a love triangle that is about to fizzle out is that of Aria (Lucy Hale), Liam (Roberto Aguire) and Ezra (Ian Harding). In the show's last installment, she cheated on her boyfriend with her ex. Although "Ezria" fans hope that their favorite couple will end up together, it still remains to be seen what will happen.

Hale recently spoke to TV Guide about what would happen to the trio in the upcoming season.

"When we come back Aria is still with Liam, who is a long-time boyfriend, [but] Aria can't get Ezra off her brain. You get to see a little bit of a love triangle and you get to see who she chooses," she teased.
