'Prison Break' season 5 spoilers: Dominic Purcell sustains injuries on film set
Ever since "Prison Break" season five was announced, fans have been clamoring for anything related to the much-awaited return of the cast, But recently, an accident took place on set that saw Dominic Purcell with injuries to his face.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Purcell shared the experience. "Thank god my love @theannalynnemccord was there when my unfortunate accident occurred on set. She went into raging #momma mode along with #christianorthup and got me the right care," he wrote.
The actor, who plays Lincoln on the show, added that he's now doing well and he also enjoyed the airlift flight on board a helicopter. "Show goes on...Grateful to be alive," Purcell added.
In another photo, Purcell further explained that an iron ball fell on his head. Though his "thick skull" was busted open and he broke his nose, he did get a free nose job and his doctor said an "unusually tough tissue" saved him from further damage. His selfie shows blood above his right eyebrow and if fans look closer, there's also a cut with some blood on the left corner above his forehead.
Finally, Purcell shared more of his adventures on the set of "Prison Break" in a photo on Thursday where he is seen exercising. The cuts on his face are still apparent and his nose job is obviously still healing. With a hundred stitches on his head, a broken nose, and a role to portray, the actor seems pumped up to keep working out so he can still fulfill his job as a television personality.
Wentworth Miller, who plays Michael in the series, shared Purcell's post on his own Instagram account and said his friend and costar is always in his thoughts and prayers, calling the "Legends of Tomorrow" star a #tankwithatenderheart.
Meanwhile, viewers are looking forward to the dramatic reunion between Lincoln and Michael as the former travels to a Yemeni prison to set his brother free. In the trailer released for the new season, it is worth noting that Michael has once again earned several inks on the meat.
iDigital Times suggests that Michael's new tattoos could probably be part of his escape plan. This could be true since Michael had his tattoos removed on the fourth season, but now, he has acquired new ones.
""Prison Break" season five is expected to return on Fox sometime 2017.
