Sony PlayStation announced that the 'PlayStation Now' open beta is now available for PS3 owners in the US and parts of Canada.

"PS3 users will now see PS Now titles integrated into PlayStation Store as part of the Open Beta. The library of PS Now games has grown to more than 150 titles, and will continue to grow as the service expands over time. I'm pleased to announce that God of War: Ascension, inFAMOUS, and the recently released Ultra Street Fighter IV are all coming soon to PS Now," according to Sony PlayStation's official press release.

The PlayStation Now open beta is no longer exclusive for PS4 with this update.

Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc., first introduced PS Now open beta for the next gen console last July.

"SCE's vision for PS Now is to introduce the world of PlayStation to more consumers than ever before and provide the freedom to quickly discover and play a wide range of full games on the Internet-connected devices they use every day. The accessibility of the service will continue to expand, and SCE will begin a private pilot service to people who own a PS Now compatible 2014 Sony TV in the US," Reuters reported.

Most of the games that can be rented from PlayStation Now cost $1 per day.

The beta phase is still in the early phase of development, and the company wants to get as much feedback as possible to help them engineer the platform better.

"We are still in the early days of PS Now, but it's been great to hear from users that have been pleased with the service's performance. We want to thank everyone who has tried out PlayStation Now and encourage everyone to check it out. The service is still growing and evolving based on the feedback we've received from PS Now users," said John Keller, VP of Platforms Marketing, SCEA.

As of now, the PlayStation Now beta is open to all PS4 and PS3 owners, just simply go to PlayStation Store.
