It will be a tough 'Reign' Season 2 premiere for Mary, Queen of Scots (played by Adelaide Kane), and King Francis (Toby Regbo), as they enter their reign as new leaders of France.

The spoilers of Reign's Season 2 Episode 1 reads that the kingdom will experience the hit of the black plague, and new people who will challenge Mary's reign will enter their lives.

According to the synopsis, the plague will "threaten" the stability of their rule, with King Francis ending up on the "wrong side" of the quarantined gates.

The first episode of two will also introduce new villains, as written in the synopsis.

Nobles will start to grasp for power, which will challenge Mary to hold her place, as well as Catherine (played by actress Megan Follows).

Kenna and Bash will also separate this season, while Kenna's life will face extreme hardships.

Greer will also face the stinging reality of Leith moving on with a new love, and she'll be shocked to find out that Leith is somewhat involved with her fiance's daughter.

It has also been reported that Reign Season 2 will feature more nudity and sex scenes, and actress Adelaide Kane commented that nudity is an integral part of the series.

"I spent a lot of the first three episodes naked. I think if they ever stop having sex and sharing a bed, there is trouble on the horizon," Kane told She Knows reporters.
