(Facebook/cwreign)"Reign" season 3 episode 16 will show Mary back in Scotland.

Mary finds something shocking when she arrives in Scotland in the upcoming episode 16, titled "Clans," of the third season of the historical fantasy drama "Reign."

Mary decides to go back to Scotland. When she arrives, she is shocked to discover that the country she used to live in has turned into a treacherous world. In order to face the seemingly strange new land, she is forced to keep her royal identity as a secret until she can find someone she can trust. Elizabeth, on the other hand, puts her standing on the line as she deals with an unbearable new suitor. Lola decides to help her, which results to the Queen doubting Lola's sincerity.

The promo trailer for "Clans" shows Leith asking Princess Claude if she ever wanted something so much that the fear of not getting it makes her wonder if she should have wanted it at all. Mary, on the other hand, witnesses the broken land Scotland has become. Although she declares that she is in fact a Scottish, her French court upbringing is pointed out. Mary is asked to search for a unifying leader.

Actress Adelaide Kane has previously revealed about her character Mary's return to Scotland and her potential wedding plans.

"There's a lot of pressure for her to wed again, especially with Scotland still in a precarious position," she told Yahoo! "But I think actually knuckling down and getting married is going to have to wait until she's back in Scotland. There are definitely potential suitors, who are both appropriate and inappropriate, coming into her life."

Meanwhile, the previous episode, titled "Safe Passage," saw the defenders of the generals rise up against Catherine and Charles after the news about the massacre broke out. Bash discovered that it was Christophe who murdered Delphine. Also, he learned several of Catherine's grave misdeeds.

"Reign" season 3 episode 16 airs on June 6, at 8 p.m., on The CW.
