Fans may be in for a lot of shocking and dramatic events when "Reign" season 4 arrives as recent reports point to a potential death in the royal courts.

Rumor has it that Mary (Adelaide Kane) will finally meet her end in the upcoming season. The bigger speculation is that she will die in the hands of Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten). While there is no confirmation regarding this plot theory, it would be interesting to see how Mary confronts the person who had Lola (Anna Popplewell) executed.

Mary and Elizabeth have always been rivals from the beginning, but it seems that the battle will be even fiercer in the upcoming installment as the Catholics continue to cast doubts on Elizabeth's legitimacy as the queen of England.

Fans speculate that Mary will try to seek vengeance for the death of her loyal friend and follower, but she will only find herself in the face of death as she tries to challenge the power of England's great queen.

It is expected that Mary's succeeding marriages, first to Lord Darnley (Will Kemp), and next to Bothwell (Adam Croasdell), will be depicted in "Reign" season 4. As stated in historical accounts, Mary's marriage to Lord Darnley will be full of angst and jealousy, and later on, Darnley will be found dead. Bothwell will be suspected as the mastermind for Darnley's death and Mary's name will also be involved in the alleged murder as she will marry Bothwell in the long run.

It is further believed that "Reign" season 4 will be the last of the series as Mary's death is just around the bend. The rumors only got stronger with the revelation that there will be less episodes in the upcoming installment.
