'Resident Evil VII' release date, latest news: Gameplay video shows an unbeatable opponent

(Facebook / Resident Evil)It is said that "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is 90 percent complete and is likely to arrive on Jan. 24, 2017, just as scheduled.

A series of teasers was released for the upcoming game, "Resident Evil VII: Biohazard." One of the videos was titled "Immortal" and it shows the main character trying to defeat a member of the Baker family. The other gameplay trailer showed how the main protagonist can survive with the use of herbs.

According to GameSpot, one of the latest gameplay teasers showed the main character taking down Jack Baker. It can be seen in the video that the protagonist kept shooting at him until he finally falls down. Once the character starts escaping from Jack's body, he also gets up and says: "Oh, no, no, no. Now you're going to get it, boy." The video then ends abruptly.

This clip is part of the sixth episode in the gameplay teaser series that Capcom has released for the upcoming game. The previous one hinted that a character from the earlier titles might be returning in the latest installment. Another one highlighted how players can use the shotgun in taking down the monsters that they will encounter within the game.

Two more gameplay clips were previously uploaded onto YouTube and one of them shows how the main protagonist can take advantage of the knife in different types of situations. In the meantime, the other video also highlighted how players can save their game with the use of a tape recorder.

One of the latest videos that were released for the latest installment of the franchise is called "Survival." It showcased how gamers can use the green herb in different methods. The plant can be combined with a first aid mod and is able to close injuries. Aside from that, the first aid mod also has the capability to regenerate cells gradually.

"Resident Evil VII: Biohazard" is anticipated to be released in PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Jan. 24, 2017.
