After waiting for several months, fans of the hit series "Rizzoli & Isles" will finally see the much-awaited face-off between Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) and her crazy stalker.

Last season, Jane was kept busy trying to make sense of why bad things continued to happen to her. The living room in her apartment was torched, although luckily, no one got hurt. Her best friend, Dr. Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander) was kidnapped. Investigations reveal that the culprit was not targeting the blonde medical examiner, but Jane. Although she managed to save Maura unscathed, Jane still felt in her bones that the incident would not be the last.

Not long after, her partner Korsak (Bruce McGill) got married. During the reception, a gunshot froze everyone on where they were standing. The upcoming season will see who has been shot and who fired the shot. From the look of things, it appears that the culprit is none other than Jane's shadowy nemesis, the same one who did all the crazy things to get to her in the past.

Before season 6 ended, Jane finally got a lead on the identity of her attacker. They were former classmates and Jane outperformed her in every aspect. The culprit never forgave Jane for that. Apparently, Jane was the reason her family never acknowledged her brilliance as a cop.

Season 7 is the last for the TNT series, even though it has garnered a lot of viewers. Many fans have been very vocal about their disappointment over the show's ending and have flooded the series' Facebook page with negative comments. In January, TNT boss Kevin Reilly shared the bad news during the Television Critics Association's press tour.

"That will be the final season. I think both ladies have had a really satisfying experience. I don't know that they wouldn't do anymore, but I think they felt very comfortable that it's had a good run. It felt like it was time. Everyone said, 'Let's go out and finish 13 great ones and call it a day,'" he said, as per Entertainment Weekly.

"Rizzoli & Isles" season 7 will premiere on Monday, June 6 at 9 p.m. EDT on TNT.
