Samsung is expected to update three of its devices in the A series in India anytime soon. The electronics giant from South Korea might make the Samsung Galaxy A3, A5, and A7 2017 variants available in the territory in the next few weeks.

The A series is Samsung's mid-range selection for clients who want a cheaper alternative to the S series. The 2017 variants of the three smartphones were introduced at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held in Las Vegas, Nevada last month. However, Samsung has not revealed the prices of the upgraded smartphones.

The water resistant Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 model has a 4.7-inch screen with a 1280x720 resolution, according to reports. It has 2GB memory and 16GB storage space. It features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.

The slightly bigger 2017 version of the Samsung Galaxy A5 comes with a 5.2-inch screen with a 1920x1080 resolution. It has a 3GB memory and a 32GB internal storage capacity. Both its rear and front cameras are at 16MP.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 variant, on the other hand, boasts a 5.7-inch screen and a 1920x1080 resolution, like that of the A5. While its cameras, memory, and storage capacity are the same as that of the A5, the A7 has a stronger battery of 3600 mAh. The A5 only has a 3000 mAh battery.

Meanwhile, users of the Galaxy A devices released in 2016 can expect some good news in the next few months as Samsung will soon release the Android Nougat 7.0 update. According to several sources, the Samsung Galaxy A3 2016 will get the update on April 24, while the 2016 variants of the Galaxy A5, A7, and A8 can have the update on May 22. Earlier models of the Samsung Galaxy A5 and A7 are scheduled to receive the update on July 31.

Samsung already released the Android Nougat 7.0 to its latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. By the end of the week, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy Note 5 users can expect to receive notifications regarding their phone's impending update. The update for the Galaxy Note 5 will be rolled out by March 6 while Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will receive it on March 13.
