The hype is on for the next Galaxy Note phablet, most likely the Galaxy Note 4. It has been more than half a year since Galaxy Note 3 was announced in September, and the Note 3 managed to squeeze itself to the highly-competitive mobile market, even creating a new niche of a phablet-like smartphone, and never neglecting portability even with its large screen.

After six months since the debut of Note 3, people are already anticipating what's the next big thing from the Note series, and cannot help get excited of another game changer from the South Korean electronics giant.

Camera, Dust- and Water-Resistance

While Note 3's 13MP rear-facing camera with LED flash and autofocus, as well as a 2MP front-facing camera were cool, there were some complaints about them, such as low-light performance (which is generally a weakness of smartphone cameras), battery-draining and video usage eating up the memory. Samsung will likely integrate these fixes to Note 4's camera, which is said to have 20.7 megapixels with video and image stabilization capabilities.

Note 4 is also rumroed to be the first Galaxy Note to be dust- and water-resistant.

Display

Note 4 is rumored to come with 4k 5.9-inch display of PLS LCD auto adjustable resolution. While Note 3 is of is 5.7-inch display, there will be no big significance on the size but on the resolution, which the Note 4 believes to bump up on pixel density for great picture quality.

Performance

One of the major factors of loving a device is its speedy performance, which depends much on its processor, followed by its workspace, the memory or RAM. Note 3 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.3 GHz 800 32-bit processor supported by a 3GB RAM, while Note 4 is rumored to come with Exynos Octa Core 64-bit 16 Core processor and a 4GB RAM. Note 3's Snapdragon 800 is great, but the Octa 64-bit processor will definitely boost the speed a lot more, and makes sure multitasking is managed well. It will be the first Android phone to be powered by a 64-bit processor, and thus, expected to be an overall game changer.

Software and Price

Two of the advancements in the Note 4 software could be TouchWiz' UI and S Pen's capability to recognize handwriting for unlocking the phone.

For the price, Galaxy Note 3 started with $730. It is estimated that Note 4 will start with $750 as going over it will make the consumers think twice.
