The official specs of Samsung's latest entry-level smartphones, the Galaxy On5 and the Galaxy On7, were released yesterday after the smartphones were published on Samsung India's website ahead of its official launch. The slip-up was quickly rectified and the page has since been taken down. However, the damage has been done as official specs and images of the devices are now circulating the Internet.

The Samsung Galaxy On5 features a 5.0-inch TFT LCD display with a 720 x 1280 screen resolution and 288ppi pixel density. According to Samsung, the smartphone comes with a thin frame and bezel and an eye-catching faux leather back that elevates the look of the device.

The entry-level smartphone is powered by a quad-core 1.3 GHz Exynos 3475 processor and 1.5 GB of RAM. It also has 8 GB of internal storage but can be expanded via a microSD slot.

The Galaxy On5 features an 8 MP main camera with f/2.1 aperture and LED flash. For capturing selfies, the device has a 5 MP front-facing camera.

The device is backed by a removable 2,600 mAh battery. The battery provides enough juice to give users up to 13 hours of Wi-Fi browsing or 12 hours of video playback. It comes preloaded with the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and features dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS capabilities.

The Samsung Galaxy On5 will be sold for about $155.

The Samsung Galaxy On7 has most of the same features as the On5, except for a few upgraded specs.

The Galaxy On7 features a 5.5-inch TFT LCD display with 720 x 1280 screen resolution and 267ppi pixel density. Like the On5, it is also powered by a quad-core 1.3 GHz Exynos 3475 processor, has 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage.

Upgraded features include a 13 MP main camera with the same f/2.1 aperture and a more powerful 3,000 mAh battery. The device is expected to be sold for about $200.

The Samsung Galaxy O series smartphones are expected to be officially launched by the end of this month.
